The Position: STEP Academy is hiring full time elementary teachers.
Preferred Qualifications:

Any teaching license and willingness to obtain an out of area designation
Bachelor's degree, ability to obtain a Tier 1 or 2 teaching license, and willingness to work toward a higher tier teaching license

Position Description:
STEP Academy is a K-12 destination charter school located in St. Paul, Minnesota that serves a student body primarily made up of first generation Somali/East African students. STEP Academy ensures all students are nurtured and empowered to use their personal attributes and acquired knowledge to have the choice to participate in early college entrance through the Minnesota PSEO program. The school boasts a leadership team and school board that listen to and support their teachers and staff, believing that you are a person first and an educator second.
** At STEP Academy, all special education teachers enjoy small caseloads, a safe and supportive environment, and a pay incentive for serving in the high need area of special education.
The Position: STEP Academy is hiring a special education teacher to primarily teach students with a Specific Learning Disability (SLD) but may also support students with other needs. The teacher will also have a caseload of students and be responsible for progress reporting, completing annual IEPs, and helping with new evaluations.
