Lolo School District has job opening/s for a Special Education Teacher. Applicants must hold a

progress toward both. A Lolo School District Special Education-Resource Teacher serves as one of
several special education instructors for students at either the K-4 or 5-8 grade levels as assigned by the District. This individual is responsible for the delivery of general and special education instruction in accordance with district curriculum and state standards. The individual should also be ready to use research-based best practices to ensure that students have learned and can apply clearly defined skills and concepts.

Lolo’s professional salary schedule ranges from $34,221 (BA, first year teaching) to $71,158. New hires can be credited with up to 10 years of professional teaching experience. Position Description:

Harlem School District is accepting applications for a K-8 special education instructor for the 2023-24 school year.

The Special Education Teacher is responsible for planning instruction and/or adaptation of the general curriculum to enable students to benefit from their education. The teacher will case manage identified students' programs which includes developing individual education plans, behavior plans, and providing instruction on social skills and study skills. The teacher is responsible for communicating with general education teachers with regard to student accommodations and modifications and must be able to report to and participate on multidisciplinary evaluation teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
Design individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
Instruct students with disabilities according to IEP goals and objectives.
Work as a part of a team to design and implement behavioral programs.
Participate in the regular education classroom setting as a collaborating teacher.
Consult regularly with classroom teachers and other team members.
Evaluate student growth, utilizing formal.informal and quantitative/qualitative measures, to inform individualized educational planning.
Administer standardized achievement tests.
Function as member of evaluation teams, writing evaluation reports/summaries.
Keep parents and students informed and aware of student needs and progress.

QUALIFICATIONS: Montana teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement (32S SPE or 32A SPE) or ability to be certified by the start of the 2022-23 school year. Prior experience as a special education teacher working with students with disabilities preferred.
