Southern Plains provides services to 5 area school districts along the Iowa border. Southern Plains helps the school districts with meeting the needs of all of the students within their districts; this includes providing a wide variety of support for the special education staff within the districts. Southern Plains supports new teachers with a wide variety of supports including monthly trainings with a small group of new providers, a mentor meeting on a regular basis with the new teacher, resources and supports to learn the due process requirements, an instructional coach to support with learning new curriculums, and a fabulous team that helps ensure a smooth transition into the new position.
