District/Organization Description:
Enrollment in the Minot Public Schools is expected to be over 7,500 students when the 2022-23 school year starts. Students attend classes in thirteen elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school divided into two campuses as well as an alternative high school, and a Head Start program. These schools include two elementary schools and one middle school located on the Minot Air Force Base. The community of Minot passed a $109 million dollar bond to build a second high school and realign our high schools to grades 9-12.
The Minot Public Schools take pride in the innovative education programs in the areas of career and technical, general and special education. Recently added course offerings include Aviation and Biomedical (Health Sciences). Students have an opportunity to participate in a number of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Teachers participate in a continuous process of reviewing and prioritizing their standards in order to provide a guaranteed and viable curriculum to all students.
