Hardee County School District

District/Organization Description:

Our home is a county of 30,000 inhabitants in Florida's Heartland. Our school district serves 5,200 students within our seven Title I schools which include five elementary schools, a junior high school and a senior high school. The school district employs 650 staff members including 350 teachers. One of our district's strengths is our commitment to supporting our new teachers through mentorships and assistance from both the school and district levels. Our instructional coaches and curriculum department provide a welcome lifeline to those either beginning or extending their teaching careers.
As a result of the extensive pride within our community for our public school system, students and teachers alike benefit greatly from the support of our local business partners. Those of us who live and teach in Hardee County believe that our community is the best kept secret in Florida. As a small town with a 10-15 minute commute to our schools and a short drive to Lakeland, Tampa, Sarasota and Orlando for weekend fun and beach time, we relish our community events, outdoor activities and little to no traffic.
We would love to learn more about you and share the opportunities we have available to foster your teaching career. Come find all you're looking for in Hardee County!
