Bristol Bay Borough School District
The Bristol Bay Borough School District (BBBSD) is a unique Alaskan community that is the "Sockeye Salmon Capitol of the World." The school is a small Pre-K through 12th-grade institution that severs approximately 110 students on an annual basis.
The BBBSD staff is a close-knit community dedicated to promoting a positive atmosphere and delivering the best possible education. We truly have the opportunity to watch our students grow and all join in celebrating their progress.
The BBBSD communities are extremely supportive of the school and it acts as the center for many of our communities. Our Borough, the 1st Borough established in the state of Alaska, funds our operations to the highest extent allowed by state law. We are truly a special place to be.
As the gateway to the Katmai National Park, we are a destination getaway for adventurous tourists. The richness of our area brings thousands of sports fishermen, hunters, birdwatchers, and commercial fisherman on an annual basis.
