District/Organization Description:

The Academy for Sciences & Agriculture was founded in 2001 with the purpose of providing agricultural literacy to an urban and suburban population. The school has increased from 42 students in 2001 to over 420 students in 2022. AFSA serves students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade from several surrounding school districts. The High School Facility, built in 2005 is located in Vadnais Heights at the intersection of 694 and Rice Street. The Elementary School was built in 2002, purchased and remodeled for our school in 2019.
AFSA supports and encourages an interactive and hands on style of learning. Our students benefit from working on projects and interacting in the community on field trips and service projects each year.
